Classic and Starburst Felted Beret Knitting Pattern

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

The felted beret might be the world’s most perfect hat. Warm, durable, quite waterproof and – most important – it won’t squash your hair. Even a hairdo with clips can be slipped under a beret and you arrive at your destination warm, dry and still looking fresh. Add to that the fact that it looks good on every face and you understand why it is a perennial favorite across the globe.

This pattern contains instructions for two hats: the Classic Beret and the Starburst Beret. Both are designed to work with Noro's Kureyon 100% wool yarn, which creates dramatic color changes throughout the hats. Five sizes range from Child Small through Adult XLarge, so you can easily make one for everybody!

I was so proud of myself for being able to make this beret. THE PATTERN IS SO EASY TO UNDERSTAND! Even for fairly new knitters! mizMikey
