Felted Trellis Toque!

A new shape -- not for the timid!

The term "toque" has been used since medieval times to describe a hat with flat sides, a flat top and little or no brim. Up until today, ornate toques appear on the heads of men and women throughout Asia and Africa as part of daily wardrobe.

Now you can flaunt your worldly fashion sense, too! And give yourself a little extra boost of flair to get your through these cold months ahead.

The size of the finished hat is largely determined by the blocking. Instructions are given for small and large sizes, and instruction provided about how to make your own flat-top block and where to order a commercially made form.
